Church of His Kingdom began as a home Bible study in 1970. A year later, the current church property was acquired to accommodate the growing congregation. Since then, the church has experienced many years of growth and increasing community involvement.
Beginning with the initial construction of the sanctuary in 1974, the church facility now includes a classroom building and office complex, finished in 2001. Future plans include construction of a community center and swimming pool.
Our classroom building houses an educational program founded in 1993 in conjunction with our local school district. As of 2006, there are approximately 135 students in grades 7-12. The program continues to grow as word of both its quality of education and environment spreads.
In addition to the atmosphere provided through the educational program, a large part of the spiritual development of our young people is achieved through Bible studies, personal mentoring and various other activities that build our relationships through the Lord Jesus Christ. The church has a strong tradition of maturing and training young adults for the ministry. Over the years, many such ministers have been sent out to serve as pastors or to help create churches in a variety of locations.
Our church, throughout its history, has been associated with The Living Word Fellowship, an association of churches located in the United States and other countries. For many years, John Miller and Bruce Larson have served as senior pastors, working together in oversight of a strong eldership and a highly motivated volunteer staff. We all look forward to a fruitful future directed by the leadership of the Holy Spirit and the continual blessing of God.
